Almost every year I get together with five other guys who used to share a cramped office together in San Jose.  We were all on the Young Life staff there in the seventies, and we made a commitment to remain life-long friends by meeting once a year, no matter what we were doing and no matter where we were doing it.  Well, we haven’t all made it every year, but most of us still gather for a few days to tell stories, share our lives, pray for each person, give advice and counsel, and, well…drink a lot of beer and smoke a ton of cigars.
