Yesterday I was given free hockey tickets. They were worth $120 each and hard to come by - so I invited another hockey mom Ive been getting to know from my block. She said yes because around here everyone is a fan. We drove for 1.5 hours to the city and our conversation touched on everything from kids to husbands to jobs to Jesus. It just all came up quite naturally. She said that I referred to Jesus a lot like a buddy. She liked that. It seemed casual and normal not hyper-religious or pretensious. She couldn’t have given me a better compliment!
