Just When I Thought I’d Seen It All…
I am not making this up. The picture above was taken with my iPhone, just because I didn’t think anyone would believe me. I was in Temecula, CA this weekend visiting friends. I stopped into a local public restroom to relieve myself, and when I walked up to the urinal there was a “Jesus fish” card right there on the porcelin. It had a version of the “Romans Road” on the back, including a version of the sinners prayer. And a large black hair right next to it (eewwww!).
Urinal evangelism. Harder to spell than “Doable”, but hey…you don’t even have to be in the room to get ‘er done!
Wow.

Oh, Randy. You need to check out Steve Sjogren’s book and/or website.
For many years at Vineyard Community Church - the one founded by Steve in Cincinnati - part of their servant evangelism practice was to clean public restrooms. This included replacing the urinal cake with one of their own with a slogan on it…unfortuantely, I can’t remember which slogan.
small things dones with great love…

I love the idea of urinal cakes with your church name on it. You don’t have to touch them to read them, though…which is what someone was hoping somebody else would do with this card. Somehow the idea of picking up a card from the urinal just seemed…nasty.
