The Outsider Interviews
Recorded live, these (now somewhat ancient) interviews feature my mentor, Jim Henderson, interviewing people from a variety of backgrounds, all who claim to not be Christians. Taking the “show me, don’t tell me” approach, we go right to the source and ask them how we’re coming across in our efforts to convert them. These aren’t debates — they’re dialogs. If you want the people you train to “get it” concerning how to talk with their lost friends, watch one of these videos together and you’ll have plenty to talk about.
The following three videos are viewable with free Real Player.
Video #1: Interview with Three Outsiders (formerly called Lost People) – Cincinnati (32 min)
Charlie is a recovering alcoholic, Jim an ex-Jehovah’s Witness and Katrina a college music major working as a waitress. Discover how it feels to be “witnessed to” from the end users perspective and learn about which approaches they feel are most effective in helping them move toward Jesus.
Video #2: Interview with Two Postmodern Outsiders (18 min)
Joe and Jason are both 24, college educated and work together in a sandwich shop. In this provocative interview they talk openly about their (and many of their friends’) views on pre-marital sex, homosexuality, religion and spirituality. They work for and with Christians. Catch their sophistication on how they determine the difference between real Christians and not so real ones.
Video #3: Interview with Three Outsiders – Seattle (34 min)
Rachel didn’t mind her mom getting “born again” — she just didn’t get the double life stuff. Chris believes he’s a Christian and also believes in reincarnation. Jacque has not accepted Jesus as her personal savior but you might not know that if she didn’t tell you.
Bonus Videos – Word on the Street Interviews
Live interviews with people on the streets of Philadelphia & Portland answering the question: ”Has anyone ever tried to save you?”
